Birmingham Music Teachers Association (BMTA)
Founded in October, 1922, the BMTA is a Senior Club of the Alabama Federation of Music Clubs, affiliated with the National Federation of Music Clubs. Mission: BMTA is dedicated to raising the standard of music teaching in Birmingham, the stimulation of interest in all things musical, the musical education of students, and cooperation with the public schools for mutual benefit and assistance. Membership affords teacher professional development workshops, student performance opportunities, auditions, festivals, reference library and more.
